The missing middle

Between the single detached home and the 50-storey condo tower sits the housing Toronto actually needs — and almost nobody is building well.

Toronto needs rental that isn't a shoebox

The city has opened the door — as-of-right multiplexes across every neighbourhood — because the condo pipeline keeps producing investor-grade glass boxes too small to live in. JBS Development walks through that door: duplexes, triplexes, fourplexes, and low-rise walk-ups converted into rental homes built for people, not spreadsheets.

Core Plus, Class A, primary market — on purpose

We convert established low-density assets in Toronto's core into well-built Class A rental. We don't chase the secondary and tertiary markets that ride the boom-and-bust of outside forces — immigration waves, job migration, the AI-driven re-sorting of where work happens. A Class A asset in a primary market holds its footing when the cycle turns. That's the entire point of Core Plus: real upside, without betting the building on the next headline.

2026: twenty-two units online

Our near-term target is to bring 22 rental units online in 2026 — gentle density that adds livable supply to neighbourhoods that already have the schools, transit, and main streets people want to live near.
